EU qualified eSeal/QSeal
EU qualified eSeal is the company’s digital stamp and identity, approved throughout the EU/EEA. A qualified e-Seal is used for many purposes, for example for registration in the EPREL database or signing digital diplomas and certificates.
What is an EU qualified eSeal?
An EU-qualified eSeal (QSeal) is the organization’s digital stamp. The seal is used to seal electronic documents and confirms the legal entity from which the document originates, while also making it possible to verify that the content has not been altered after sealing.
A qualified eSeal verifies the origin of the document and makes it possible to verify that its content has not been altered since it was sealed.
Commfide’s qualified eSeal is approved throughout the EU/EEA in accordance with the eIDAS Regulation.
Common uses for the Qualified eSeal / QSeal
Digital Product Passport (DPP)
A qualified eSeal is used to verify the business in the DPP registry by sealing the PDF declaration from the registry. Once the business has been verified, it can register and manage digital product passports.
EPREL (EU)
A qualified eSeal is used to verify legal entities in EPREL before the business can register and manage products in the database.
Digital Certificates and Diplomas
A qualified eSeal is used to seal digital certificates, diplomas, and other academic credentials, so that the recipient can verify who issued the document and ensure that its content has not been altered.

2. Signing of agreement
A person listed in the company database digitally signs the order and confirms the information.
3. Delivery
The QSeal is delivered to the registered recipient on a smart card. The PIN-code is sent separately digitally afterwards. The recipient confirms that the eSeal and PIN-code have been received.

Yes, the eSeal can be used for a variety of digital needs, including DPP registration, EPREL registration, electronic invoicing, and document signing.
Only an authorized signatory or an authorized signatory in accordance with the Brønnøysund Register can sign the order for an EU qualified eSeal. The approval process for ordering and issuing eSegl is regulated in accordance with the eIDAS legislation.
The cost is EUR 825 excluding VAT for a 3-year lifespan.
