EU qualified eSeal is the company’s digital stamp and identity, approved throughout the EU/EEA. Qualified eSeal is used for many purposes, for example for registration in the EPREL database or signing digital diplomas and certificates.
What is an EU qualified eSeal?
An EU qualified eSeal (Qualified Electronic Seal) is a digital signature used by businesses, and acts as a digital stamp that digital stamp that confirms the identity of the sender and the integrity of the content.
Commfides QSeal is approved throughout the EU/EEA in accordance with the eIDAS regulation and has the same legal validity as a physical stamp. Some of the most common applications are:
- EPREL registration – For manufacturers who need to register products in the EPREL database.
- Legally binding digital signing – Such as signing digital diplomas and certificates.
- Electronic invoicing – Signing of electronic invoices.
About EU qualified eSegl / QSeal
- Included: Qualified eSeal issued on a smart card (QSCD) with accompanying card reader.
- Delivery time: The eSeal is produced and shipped normally within 4 working days after receipt and approval of the order.
- Validity: QSeglet is delivered according to a subscription agreement where the annual fee includes maintenance and support.
The technical certificate is valid for three years and is renewed and sent out automatically unless the subscription is canceled one month before the expiry date. How does it work?
2. Signing of agreement
A person listed in the company database digitally signs the order agreement and confirms the information.
3. Delivery of QSeal and PIN
QSealet is delivered to the registered recipient on a smart card. The PIN code is sent separately digitally afterwards. The recipient confirms that the eSeal and PIN code have been received.

Yes, eSeglet can be used for a variety of digital needs, including EPREL registration, electronic invoicing and document signing.
Only an authorized signatory or an authorized signatory in accordance with the Brønnøysund Register can sign the order for an EU qualified eSeal. The approval process for ordering and issuing eSegl is regulated in accordance with the eIDAS legislation.
The cost is 7500 NOK / 650 EURO per year.
