Electronic signing

In order to submit a tender electronically, the business needs a digital signature.
Technically, you can use any electronic ID (e-ID) to create an electronic signature, but Mercell, Norway’s leader in electronic tender, recommends using a signature that identifies and is owned by the business. Such a signature is obtained by acquiring a Qualified Enterprise Certificate or an Employee Certificate.

 

Advantages of digital signature:

• The signature is legally binding

• Employees does not need to use their personal private digital signature.

• The signature represents the business and commits both parties.

• The digital signature complies with European standards and legislations.
