Access control in Active Directory
Commfides Employee e-ID is compatible with Microsoft Active Directory.
If the business needs to use this functionality, all it requires is to set it up in Active Directory and the UPN (username/email) added to the certificates. This functionality is free as it “built-in” the certificate (as long as a UPN is added before fter the certificate has been issued).
Access Control with Active Directory increases security by centrally controlling access to the enterprise’s own systems.
The employee uses his/hers Employee e-ID by inserting it into the PC and logging in with his PIN, replacing username and password login. And get full access to all software and documents as before.
The IT-department gets better control and increased security compared to traditional password usage. Additionally, access control with home office VPN can be set up using Employee e-ID.
